A video platform that students and teachers make eager use of for learning and knowledge sharing! That was the request from the Avans University of Applied Sciences. A great idea, to which UP and Avans together came up with a response.

After a detailed exploratory process, Avans University of Applied Sciences opted for the Kaltura video platform. The so-called ‘Avans YouTube’ is an environment that brings video supply and demand together. Careful consideration was given by both parties acting jointly to smart, logical, and recognisable architecture. The end-product is a user-friendly meeting place: Avans MyMedia.

User-friendly for everyone

Using the various tools offered by the platform, students and teachers record and publish videos themselves. This happens both in MyMedia and the Blackboard LMS. The latter is linked to Kaltura. Why do things the hard way?

The possibilities are endless

The videos you see in the video portal are often enhanced with a PowerPoint presentation, quiz questions, or chapters. Instruction videos can be easily recorded using the in-built screen recorder at the press of a button.
