Onboarding
Full steam ahead
The interactive video on the website gives you a ‘wow’ feeling. I want to work there! The company’s DNA really appeals to you. The feeling is mutual, and the job is yours. Before you begin, you will receive an e-mail: ‘Welcome on board’. The CEO explains more about the organisation in a video. Some of your new colleagues introduce themselves as well. Great! It means you know straight away who’s who and what they do. On your first day, you will see how-to videos that explain how the registration system and the printer work. That is certainly very helpful. There is also an online checklist for your first month. How cool would that be, if new employees could prepare themselves online?
Gives a flying start! It means newcomers can quickly fit in, and that saves loads of time and money.
A warm bath, fun and the right dynamics from the very start increase involvement and effectiveness by 40%, no less!
Makes a positive impression, and that strengthens the company image and reduces employee turnover.
A video is essential for successful onboarding. It’s a powerful tool, and there are many activities it can be used for. We practise what we preach, so here is an example of how we use UP for our newcomers.
